Prep: 10 minutes | Cook: 15 minutes | Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets, about 150 g each
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) honey
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp dried thyme or Italian seasoning
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • Fresh parsley for garnish
  • Salt to taste
Instructions

Whisk the honey, soy sauce, garlic, lemon juice, black pepper, and thyme together in a small bowl.

Pat the salmon dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place the salmon skin-side down if using skin-on fillets.

Cook for about 3–4 minutes per side, depending on thickness.

Remove the salmon and set aside.

Reduce the heat and pour the honey-garlic mixture into the skillet.

Simmer for 2–3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it begins to thicken.

Return the salmon to the skillet and spoon the glaze over each fillet. Cook briefly until the salmon reaches your preferred doneness.

Serve immediately with steamed broccoli and rice. Spoon extra honey-garlic sauce over the salmon and garnish with parsley.

Recipe tip: You can replace the broccoli with asparagus, green beans, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad.
